Re: Ghetto Suspension
I did a shackle flip on my Dodge way back when. It came from BDS suspension, no idea if they still sell it. Worked pretty well. I don't remember having much problems with wheel hop before or after though. Didn't have to do anything on the axle other than a zero-rate spacer to get the axle re-centere...

Re: The Glorified Tonka Truck
A lot of people drill holes in the floor and then drop the cage down the holes enough to weld the tops. When I did the cage in Treehugger last year I added 4 tube couplers to the A and B pillars so I could take the cage out and weld it. I was going to drop it through the floor but those tubes were o...

Re: Treehugger
Just ordered off his website and it showed up about a week later, with some custom features I asked for when I ordered. I've heard dude is crazy busy so he'll only talk to you after you place an order.

Re: Treehugger
Hey Terry, no skins on the bed rails for now. Was just gonna get a boot for the hi-lift or maybe make a simple "skidplate" for it to block at least some of the dirt.
Right now the winch is hooked straight to the battery. Once I go through and hook this panel up I'll figure out what I need.

Re: Treehugger
The front bumper that was on the truck from Shaeffer's Offroad ended up not fitting a winch like it was supposed to I guess. The bolt pattern was wrong for both the winch bolts and the fairlead. Also the winch didn't fit between the two tubes. It also would have needed more bracing to be strong enou...

Re: Treehugger
Been working on this thing alot over the past few months. I figure not having wheeled in about 6 years was long enough. Planning on going to Big Dogs Icebreaker in April. Here's what I've done: Since a '91 qualifies for antique tags, and I want to be able to drive it around on the street somewhat, a...

Re: Current Advanced Auto Discount
I've used 2 different codes over the past week buying crap for TreeHugger. HXDXBX (expired now apparently) and DY5DBX. I always order stuff via online for Advance Auto, even if I'm sitting in the parking lot and grab what I need off the shelf. DY5DBX is still active and good for 30% off your order u...

Re: Current Advanced Auto Discount
I usually find 30% off coupons just by a quick google search on the differenr coupon sites. Usually have a max of $50 off, but then I split up orders if I can.

Toyota stuff
Got a pile of Toyota parts that I need to get rid of and out of my shop. I don't know complete specs on everything (years, etc), but here are some pics. I also have a rear axle housing that I don't have a picture of. I'm thinking somewhere around $250 for the lot, but make me an offer. http://i121.p...

Finished? What's that?
It didn't get much if any farther than the pictures show. I got rid of it 3 years ago or so. No idea where it's at now.
