Well I ended up going to Smithfield today but if you do get one from up here I can meet you halfway or something...Or for a case of beer Ill bring it all the way.. Got to love free fuel in the work truck!

I will be in Smithfield for work one day next week (most likely Monday) so if you want that one that James found on Craigslist here in Richmond let me know ASAP and Ill throw it in the back of the truck when I come down..

Yeah I found the dipshit's (Al Thompson) facebook page and befriended him by telling him I wanted to POR15 my 98. That was a riot when I posted his facebook page on Pirate. It had his cell number and everything on there. Before I could get his address on campus he took it off the VT site.

Unlocked my photobucket; I forgot I had locked it down during a little war with a fag on pirate (bowtie96 if anybody knows of that shitstorm)

The 241 in my 98 1/2ton truck is slip yoke front, not sure what the cut off year is for fixed front if the IFS trucks ever even had a slip front....

Word on ths street is that Good Friday is off this year due to some new regs in King Willliam county. I have the land owners contact info and will be contacting him to get an answer....

Took apart my 241 in my Blazer due to shift fork issue. Threw a new fork in there and good to go. (Fork came out of that tcase you gave John a few years ago James!) Hardest part is getting all 120 needle bearings back on the mainshaft without loosing any! A few pics of the inside of the case in this...

Oh I assumed you had a solid axle vintage truck, didnt know you had a 88-98. Either way its no big deal, mine have the bottom lip beat with a sledge hammer and the front bumper has the corner knocked off a bit..

If all you are cutting off is an inch then you will be fine, if you arent already go on CK5 and search this topic and you will find many many pictures of how others did it. My Blazer has the bottom corners lopped off as well.
