Jason, what gears did you bust? I got a set of 4.10s and a set of 4.30's I could part.

That might help me out a lot. I have a set of 4.10s from my front axle build and I am thinking of going with 4.10s.

Lemme know. The 4.10s are at home, so I won't be able to get them to you until after thanksgiving break.

just be careful installing used gears... you can't use any of the same specs on things like the carrier preload (if you marked the preload on the caps and cups) and pinion depth (number/thickness of shims) from the toasted gears if the "new" gears are installed in different thirds.

i'd recommend just picking up whole new thirds (technically used... i guess) and drop in the old locker & spool and forgoe any resetting up of the gears from scratch.

i can't rmember all the goofy long pinion head and short pinion head business between 4cyl and V6 thirds but you'll definitely want to look into it, some work in both and some only work in a very specific third/carrier...
