need parts to fix the jeep

Does anyone got the yoke to a chry. 8.25 29 spline and the tools and know how to fix it. I was talking to one guy on the trail that said he might have what i need to replace the yoke (please PM me as soon as you can so that i can try to get it from you), now all i need are the tools and the knowledge on how to fix it. But if someone else has a yoke that will work just let me know and we will see if we can cut a deal.

Can't you just drill out the holes and convert it to u-bolts?

I could but that would be more work then just to replace it.

not true. I'm not sure whether the 8.25 uses shims or a crush sleeve to set pinion preload, but in either case if you just unbolt the old yoke and slap a different one on, you risk throwing off the pinion bearing preload.

just drill it for U-bolts and you won't have to worry about ending up in this situation again.

yea dude just drill it out, thats next for me, you WILL fuck the preload up, and yes steinberg its a crush sleeve [i.e. bitch]. It is much faster and cheaper to drill it out, I believe if you do the ford strap in the help section of advance will fit, I have an extra you can test fit.

yea Oh and randy do you got the right size drill bit to do it, and if so could i possibly borrow it?

about $20 bucks you can get your own set of drill bits and you dont risk breaking someone elses. You probably are going to need them in the future.

Are you 100% sure that it is sealed cuz if so then i will go pull the shaft today so that it is not just hanging there.

just park facing downhill if your worried about it, and put something under it for any little bit of fluid that comes out to drain into so you wont get hassled by anybody
