advance auto has 10% off batteries if you buy them online and pick them up at a local store. there are 5 close B-burg, C-burg, Salem, Fairlawn (radford), Pulaski. thought someone might benifit from this?

When I thought about buying a new Optima for my Toyota I went to the Battary Mart back home and asked what the price for one. I cant quite remember what the price was, but it was outrageous compared to the first one I bought several years ago from them which I believe was about $180 (yellow top). I asked about the yellow tops from advance and that they were a lot cheaper. The owner of the Battery Mart said that Optima has several different grades. The one that they had was a higher quality and lasted longer. Im not sure if he was just feeding me BS or not just so I would buy it from him. Has anyone else heard of this? Sorry to change the topic a little. :confused2:

all that hype about seconds is bull shit...... advance just buys more so they get a better price. if you'll notice, things that are more commonly bought from places like advance auto will be a ton cheaper than the things that are rarely bought. this is because the popular items get purchased in larger quantities yeilding a higher discount to the company as opposed to smaller places that only buy a few at a time.......
