Well, I get a horrible burning smell in my nose and lungs whenever I am around Jeeps in general, but seems to lessen with the amount of GM parts involved in said Jeep. Lucky for me, most "built" Jeeps have many GM parts involved, so it makes it easier to tolerate.TerryD wrote:I thought it was because James could smell it from his shop...jac6695 wrote:now it makes sense to me........Leach wrote:and the credit for the build name happens when....
well, in general, the only "jeep" parts on a jeep have always been the motors. On my XJ, the only thing "jeep" is the 4.0. The tranny is Asian (same as toyota), t-case is New Process (same as just about every 4wd in America), front axle is Dana, rear is Chrysler. Jeep's start with other peoples parts!jac6695 wrote:Well, I get a horrible burning smell in my nose and lungs whenever I am around Jeeps in general, but seems to lessen with the amount of GM parts involved in said Jeep.
