92 4runner SAS

Post by jacksondemere »

So all of my research into building my rig has pointed me in the direction of Cutting off the IFS and replacing it with a 85 or earlier 4runner/tacoma solid axle. I know its a pretty work intensive mod and beyond my skill level to attempt by myself. (especially when it comes to welding the new mounts to the frame)

But it doesnt seem that incredibly expensive, and i recently found one on CL

im pretty sure the answer is yes (after seeing that taco on 40's and whatnot), but im a newbie so i dont know, but is there anyone who has SAS'd their 4runner/taco and would like to help me do mine?

Also is that a good price for the axle? and how much would this project set me back in terms of cash and downtime?

There are tons of write ups all over the web. Easiest way to get it done is by the entire swap kit. check out Trail Gear.

Good luck
