Ford 8.8" tubes twist with some regularity. Lay a nice bead around between the pig and the tubes before you put the new rear in.
The Rescue Ranger: in pieces and scattered about the yard.

I guess i should've specified C8.25s, but i will definitely be welding the tubes on the new axle to prevent this from happening again :thumby:

I'll be welding the tubes on the 8.8 in this. It is also a good idea to drill out the plug and fill weld it as well.

Thanks. The Willys is taking a nap while I gather parts for it, get the Jeep BJ built, and build a couple of economy cars (Windsor powered Lotus 7s). I got tired of working so I retired to build Hot Rods.
