I'll be working off my speeding ticket till 5:30 on sat. and I might be helping a guy replace his diff on sunday, so sunday at 3 or 4 would be best for me.

No, what is not an excuse is buying a cheap winch, not knowing how to use it, and hacking together some crap to hold it on that could break and potentially hurt someone.
