Need dodge inner axle

Post by TheGr8Doughboy »

I friend of mine is looking for the drivers side inner axle for the front axle off of a 1985 Dodge truck. It's passenger side diff which he tells me is pretty rare. I don't have a whole lot more info... lemmie know what you got. His best quote so far was $400 to have one made.

Is it probably just a D44? I don't know the guy well and he kept saying what a hard time he's had finding shafts. I'll try to give him a call early next week and get a measurement.

I'll run out to the cruiser later and pull the description of the truck.

Thanks

Chris

Have you wheeled the SAS yet?

I don't know if it'd be a 44 or not. I do think most dodges are passenger side drop though.. I just read your post over again though and see he's looking for the longside shaft. I only have shortsides.

pictures help, or count the number of bolts on the diff cover...

a better description of the dodge would help, too

250, 350, etc.

I found out what it was. It's a Spicer 44... Still don't have an inner but the guy got a quote for $300 something that'd work for him.

Thanks

sure seems like a lot. the junkyards don't have anything? it can't be that rare, and for $300 you could have some aftermarket cromo's or something i'd think...
