parts cleaning

Post by jonesy »

hey guys

just wanted to let you all know that i am going to start cleaning parts now that i have my tools and parts bin set up at my new place. this is not a hot tank, its a parts cleaner, petroleum distillate.

prices depend totally on the part. intake manifold and exhause manifold are going to be $35 minimum, depending on the condition of the part. $20 per hour, after the first hour, no charge for the first hour (i.e. if the intake manifold is in decent condition, and it takes me 45 minutes to clean it, it will be $35)

extra greasy parts are going to soak in solution for a maximum of 24 hours to loosen everything up.

if the part is stout, i can break out the grinder with a wire wheel to really clean it up ... things like intake manifolds will get the dremel for some very gentel cleaning .... and for the record, i know the importance of mating / sealing / gasket surfaces and wont touch them (mating / gasket / sealing surface) without the express request from the owner. dremel and grinder duties will add time and possible cost.

dont be mistaken, these will have every nook and cranny cleaned. they will be spotless when they are returned.

48 hour maximum turn around time ... weekends are fair game as long as im in town.

my name is Cody Trigg

if you are interested, send me a description of the part, though pics would be better, and we will find a price that suits you

contact is either e-mail: cjtrigg@vt.edu

or cell phone, preferred: 423-737-2435

i am located in Blacksburg, on Prices Fork Rd.

at this time i do not have a bead blasting cabinet, but i am working on getting one.

thanks for your time.
