So then why cant cherocars open there doors when they get crossed up on an obstacle? And how much plating and bracing is need to attach roll cages, sliders, and such?shmoken875 wrote:http://www.naxja.org/html/techarticles/ ... hassis.htmYoda wrote:and turned into something useful like frames for other vehicles, something they dont haveMILLER wrote:cherocars should all be smashed

Ha, beat ya to it. Hey, we need to do an all Toyota run, so we dont have to take so much time towing the cherocars up the trails.yotacowboy wrote:experiment:shmoken875 wrote:http://www.naxja.org/html/techarticles/ ... hassis.htmYoda wrote: and turned into something useful like frames for other vehicles, something they dont have
find a spot to completely cross up your suspension (3 wheeling it).
find someone with a 4 door 89-95 (2nd gen) 4Runner.
find someone with a 4 door XJ.
cross up both suspensions.
open rear tail gate/lift gate of both vehicles.
close rear tail gate/lift gate of both vehicles.
here's your 'real-world' torsional stiffness comparison between BOF and unibody construction.
good luck getting the XJ's lift gate to close.
just cause the vehicle is well engineered doesnt mean it makes a bad driver a good oneCtrow wrote:i've towed a few yotas in my day
yea, I had to winch one up some hill because it wasen't able to pull some little truck up that it was attached toCtrow wrote:i've towed a few yotas in my day

ass, I'm just gonna have to glue the toyota insignia to the front of my jeep I guess. At least when people ask me where to start with their xj build-up-wise, I say "sell it". I have what I have and do with it what I canJwlman wrote:Yea but "you cherokee guys" as a whole....shmoken875 wrote: hey gimme some fucking credit, in two years I've gotten strapped outta hummer hole when I had a busted shaft, and when I got sandwiched on that tree on special trail
