no, i'm okay with the detroit. the reason i say you'll wish you had the ARB is you like to tear around at high speed, and I think the automatic lockers (in the front axle) make steering quirky in that kinda situation.

IC, well all is good then, I only use 2wd for the go fast stuff.

I could be wrong about the steering, maybe mine is no worse than an open diff. But when I lay on it going up Cunt Hill, I can never predict where the truck is going to try to turn itself next.

Yeah, that is the other thing I was worried about, but the only way to know is to try it first hand. I'll see how it does, if I can still make it up the hillclimb then it stays, if I can't then it goes.

the arb and an aussie locker are going to work the same under power... so will a spool or a welded diff.

if you don't want full 4wd, then run a limited slip.

True, but the thing with an ARB is I could leave it open for better steering control. I think I'll like the Aussie locker though.
