ok thanks for all the Advice.
I need to replace the rear springs/shocks combo because its sagging like the 2nd gens tend to do so well, and id like to level it out with the BJ spacers, and id like to be able to run 33's when the set i have wears out.
ive got an arc-welder and access to a ton of scrap schedule 40 piping, so when i have some time i was planning on fabbing up some sliders and armor.
ive heard that the elockers are a bit prone to failure, as opposed to an airlock (too expensive) or a lunchbox locker. i know the latter poses some issue on-road, but i have a ranger and motorcycle, both of which get way better gas mileage. anyone have any advice on a lunchbox locker?
and its a 3vz-fe, 5speed, 200k.
engine's strong right now, but plannin for a 1-uz swap (landcruiser V8) when it dies.
(or if i was dreaming real big id try to find another 1gz-fe toyota v12 like the one that was on yotatech a while back)
that being said from what i can tell, if i lock the rear end and make the suspension able to have some travel again, its gonna be me and my inexperience rather than the rig holding me back, so thats where i plan on starting.
