Rear shafts in.
Anyone up for helping with a cam change at the beginning of the year?

I wanna help with the cam change. Never done that before.
And, are those sweet new studless axleshafts?

Yup. Killer expensive and you don't want to know what the knock-off bead-locks cost...
I'm studying up on what cam I want now. My factory converter, lack of headers, and factory intake manifold. Need to swap manifolds on the Camaro first I guess.

Finished up the cam swap tonight. I've got to put the grill back in and the flex plate cover is still off . Runs a lot better now that the timing is controllable. Still has a popping underneath, I'm wondering if the flex plate is cracked now.

I just spent 1/4 of what the Blazer cost to put a cb set up in it.

Finished the CB install this evening. I used a 4x6 speaker in the factory mono speaker location for the CB external speaker and man is it loud with that done. Should be no issues hearing it on the trail.
The radio is a cheap Uniden 505XL I got at the truck stop in Ironto. The antenna is a 9' whip on a heavy spring using a ball mount. Seems very rugged and up on the top body line it is tucked away a little. Hopefully I won't knock it off first thing.

I spent $50 on my CB setup and it is just like yours minus the external speaker. Does that mean your K5 costs $200
I was half expecting some tricked out shit you could key up to Japland with.

CB:$40
Coax:$20
Ball mount:$24
Spring:$16?
Antenna:$27
Speaker:$16
Gave $500 for the K5 when I bought it. I didn't want tricked out in this thing I thought about putting my 2m radio in it, but I don't have a mobile antenna for it and have a few other things to do yet.
