Can you see bubbles in the overflow? Might be getting exhaust gas in your coolant which would mean in it is leaking past your head gasket.

The heater core on my 85 makes bubbly noises sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it if you're staying cool and your coolant level isn't changing.

Im pretty sure its isolated to the heater core, I can't see any bubbles when I take the rad cap off or in the overflow

I may have found the problem. Theres a valve under the throttle body that can affect idle. One of the outlets on it where coolant is supposed to flow was clogged with junk so i assume it wasn't working properly. Im trying to find a replacement, but autozone sells them for like 150 bucks so Im looking for a used throttle body. Found a guy out in Tazewell who said hed sell me one, but hes being flaky as hell and I had no luck with the salvage yards so far.
On a side note I ordered some sliders from trail gear on monday and I tore my carpet out today. I was going to start putting hurculiner on the interior, but it started raining. Also planning on putting in a new stereo / speakers and Im still looking for 33s so if you see some with r16 holla at me.

I will give you a word of warning. Putting herculiner on the floor is nice but your inside temps will get pretty bad in the summer even with no doors and especially on the trail. I wrapped my exhaust and that helped out a lot. I think some heat shield on the floor pan would be nice also.

Thanks for the tip. Wrapping the exhaust sounds like a good idea. My carpet is gross and it would be nice to be able to just hose out the cab. Seems like theres a lot of different heat shields on the market so I should be able to figure something out if its a problem

A 235/85 is about A 31.7" tire. Figured I would post them up here just for shits $100 is dirt cheap but it would be a bit of a drive to go get them.

Well the valve seemed to be the issue (knock on wood). The truck idles smoothly around 800 rpms now. Also got the bedliner in the cab and sliders came in so hopefully I can get those on soon. Can someone tell me how to post pics?
