So, it is the motor. Warn sent me over some instructions on how to make it run without the solenoids and it won't. Looking for a replacement, oh well.

Bummer.. Any chance a smitty-bilt xrc8 motor setup could work with the m8000? I have that one just sitting here

Not gonna scrap it, just replace it. Will probably keep it around.

DC brushed non-servo motors only really have 2 failure points. One is the brushes/commutation and the other is the armature or stator windings failing. If you can find the source of indiscretion, you should be able to make it operate. They are stone aged technology and their durability is the sole reason they are still used over their superior brushless counterparts.

I couldn't agree more about how simple it works.
My failure has to be in the windings.
There is a small motor shop up in Salem. I am going to ask our parts delivery guy to drop it off there next time he goes up that way and let them determine the failure. Maybe see if they can fix it inexpensively.
Will let you all know what happens.
