Pretty good prices from Ryerson. This would be delivered free of charge to my shop in Christiansburg, so it's pretty convenient as well.

1.5 x .120 HREW - $2.62/foot

1.5 x .120 DOM - $2.89/foot

1.75 x .120 DOM - $3.40/foot

Stables, you can only get the 2"x4" square tubing in 20 foot lengths. That'll run you $108 for the piece. I'll sell you my leftovers for $5/foot to save you some money.

Zach, the 2"x2" angle iron is $50 for a 20 foot piece.

I'm going to update the list Krantz made on page 1. Please update it with any changes you want to make and we can place an order next week. I'm personally going to pick up several sticks of each because it is so cheap.

Adam - 2 sticks of 1.5" & 4-6 sticks of 1.75"
Casey - 2 sticks of 1.5" & 4 sticks of 1.75"
AJ - Who's AJ?
Will - 1-2 Sticks of 1.75"
Matt - 2 sticks of 1.75"
Alec - 1 stick of 1.75" and 1 stick 1.5"
James - 4 sticks of 1.75"
Nick - 1 sticks of 1.75"

Total
5 sticks of 1.5" DOM
17-20 sticks of 1.75"

I guess I'm gonna need some DOM for building my rear 4-Link, but I'm new to ordering bulk metal and I'm also not sure what size I should use, so some advice/help would be appreciated :thumby:

From what little I know, 2" DOM would be good with at least .25" wall...

You may want to look at some of the online fab shops that sell link material. The only way to get a decent price on metal is to bulk in bulk. If you try and order one special piece usually you will get a high price. Thats where the places that sell link material can help you out because they buy in bulk and just pass some of the markup on to each customer. Also look into sleeving two pieces to together may can save a buck that way.

Ye I've been lookin at the online places, and it just seams so much more expensive than the prices you guys are lookin at... I think I might be able to justify buying a whole stick (20ft, right?) though, so Alec, could you possibly get me prices for a stick of 2" x 0.25" wall and 1.75" x 0.25" wall? Thanks man.

It's going to be much more for a singular stick of 2"x .25' wall for three reasons. You are not buying bulk, it is not a "standard size" like the other two are, and it's more material. I'll get you a price on Wednesday though for you to compare.

What are you wanting 1.75x.25 wall for? Like Will said, use 1.75x.120 wall for uppers.

Matt V,

2" x .25" wall DOM - $6.79/ft.

You will have to buy a whole stick (17ft. - 24ft. random lengths)

Do some shopping around and add what you want to buy to the list soon.

I am going to give the order to Chuck at Ryerson Monday, so he can send me an invoice to tally up everyone's share of the order.

Matt Vest, figure out what you want to do or you'll be left off the order.
