You're correct on the indicating an issue that may be arising, so I guess if one were not to do anything about it then ignorance is bliss in that case. They do also give you information on how you are doing on the life of the oil which can be useful in determining/adjusting oil change intervals as well as comparing grades of oil you've used. I would agree in most cases its more of a novelty interest than a real tool but at the minor cost I don't see it as a bad option.

Alec - You're 110% right that I nit-pick the crap out of my Jeep and hold it to standards that it probably will never reach. But, all those attempts are to keep it as nice as possible, keep it on the road as long as possible. While I am sure I come of a little crazy about the Jeep, it is all with good intentions.

Will - That was another point of getting an oil sample analysis was to see what kind of OCI's I can run and if another type of oil would be better suited per application.

All in all I just care, a lot. haha

Here is an example of the Oil Analysis, from Blackstone Laboratories, report for a 03 WJ V8 HO

While I do not know what everything means, they do give a little summary.

Take those damn wirenuts off and use crimped connections or solder.

If Vest praises your work, you know somethings fucked up with it :flipoff2:

Aww, Alec, that hurts my feelings ya know :flipoff2: and besides, ask Will, currently it stands that wire nuts are a stronger connection, even if a little bulky

What's overpriced? I thought I paid too much for these, but putting them on the other day they are bright as fawk. Well they at least seem to be in the shop. I would recommend them so far.

Lets see some pictures of those mofos.. $30 bucks is a steal. I might have to buy a set for that price. How is the fit and finish on them Nick?

Well given the four different colors on my rig, plus the abundance of unpainted raw/rusty steel, I'd say the fit and finish is superb. Combine that with the fact that my rig is a garage ornament and they should last me till retirement. And yea they weren't on sale when I picked them up, but for $30 if your looking for tail/stop/turn/reverse lights I'd highly recommend them.

Because I'm running everything off toggle switches and wanted to retain separate tail, flashers, and brake lights I had to put a few diodes in to keep a little back feeding from lighting up the LEDs. If you have a functional turn switch they should plug right in.

I'll update my build thread once I'm home for the holidays and throw some pictures up.
