Radiator went out over spring break, day before driving back to Blacksburg. Decided to do a coolant system flush while I had it apart, much needed.

I'm partial to white myself. I miss my old Cherokee but it wasn't big enough for 5.

Yours is a good looking rig! 70k? Hardy past break-in. Mine had about 252k on it when I sold it.

White and forest green are my favorite. Funnily enough, my parents had a '98 and they sold it because it couldn't seat 5. And the guy I bought mine from sold it because guess why!... It couldn't seat 5! :lol2:

Hopefully I don't continue the trend.

Also right now its got just over 76k (~10k in a year)

That's the major stuff, there's a couple things I fixed, including replacing rear passenger brake cylinder a week after I started driving it, multiple vacuum leaks fixed with duct tape (to this day), tailgate latch, misc. interior parts loose, and small wiring issues.

This may morph into a mild mod thread but whatever. :confused2:

Anyways, been running around with no muffler for the last couple weeks, more or less convinced myself to straight-pipe, but in such a way that i can chuck the muffler/tailpipe assembly back on when I drive home on i81 for the sake of my ears. Any reccomendations as to where to get 3" pipe for cheap and get it bent would be appreciated. :thumby:

Just save yourself the hassle and put a decent muffler on it. One of the Dynomax turbo mufflers sound pretty good and usually flow better than Flowmaster. Save the ticket money for mods!

That was what I had originally intended, but for the cost of a straight pipe (that i could find) vs the cost of a new pipe and muffler, the straight pipe would be cheaper... especially since my old muffler fell off right at the end of spring break and I bought a Walker muffler in a pinch.

My thought is get a full straight pipe ($50-75 from what I can find in the area), then when I can afford a decent muffler, I can cut the middle out of the straight pipe and weld it in.

Long-winded but I think that covers it :lol2:

Plans are keep it DD and I81 capable while still being able to "overland" and wheel some milder trails.

As of right now, I hold about a 75mph average from Blacksburg to Warrenton where I live, which is about 215 miles (3 1/2 hours). I also maintain a calculated fuel economy of about 14-16 mpg at 75. I am aware that those numbers will go down, but I don't want to kill them entirely.

Would like to add 31" or 32" tires. I want 32's because they look better but 31's will help keep my fuel economy better. Bumpers front and rear with tire carrier. Minimum body armor, mostly focus on rockers and bottom of rear quarter. And maybe an OX locker for the front (leave the rear open for now).

Its currently got 4.5" of lift but with a spring/puck on the front which I'd like to replace with a full spring.
