You are correct, that's the deal. Arguing with Poly right now as to whether or not I should be paying any kind of pro-rate for the % of tread I've worn and whether or not they should send me a whole set or not.

LOL, true but I'd still like it to move. I just had an iffy feeling about how it was originally. Id like to have a factor of safety of 2, not 20 haha. I just get too caught up in little shit sometimes, Will doesnt give a shit about safety. I need to find a middlegorund.

Im comfortable with the design. I think I will plate the a pillar-support-boatside triangular area for extra strength. If that tie-in were the only support on my a-pillar I would say it is inadequate, but since it is is closely attached to the rocker (2x2x.250), which is tied into 2 more frame supports, the b-pillars, and my fenders, as well as the body, I don't think it will be an issue.

As far as plating, I'm currently in debate over that. Its going to depend on what kind of material I can find for the right price. It will be plated for sure. If I go with steel, I'm not sure if I will bolt or weld it. Removability would be nice, but welding it would add tremendous strength to the whole structure. The other consideration would aluminum obviously, you know, for my super light super fast race jeep.

Aluminum would get covered by uhmw, if not just running uhmw by itself.

Fixed my brakes last night. despite by apprehensions about sticking with my nylon brake lines, as easy it it is to repair it, I think they are going to stay for a while. It took me less than 5 minutes to splice a new section in and bleed it.

And Nick, no leaks.

Got started on the passenger side boatside. The floor/rocker is in better shape on this side so I'm finding myself removing less of it.
