Thought about it. I am still not sure about that whole welding my diff thing. I will do some more research on it then decide. I am trying to find and Aussie locker.

I really want to but I can't get the time off work. I have to make $$$ to be able to afford a rig. Most of what I did to the truck somehow ended up on my credit card.

well, you can do what I did.... put a locker in it, have the locker stop working and put a damper on a fun weekend of wheeling, then rip it out and weld it anyway so you never have to worry about it again.

Well I made a little progress on my list of things I would like to do before April 18th. I also did some things that weren't on the list.
I am still looking for help to get as much done as possible before this weekend.
My list is still long. Anyone want to help in the evenings for BEER???

So I got the truck done enough to play with April 18th. It worked really well. Far better than I expected. Did some rock crawling but only have a picture of me climbing a large wood pile. I was still impressed with what it was capable of. Looking to do some real wheeling soon.
Bringing back post rather than starting new one.

So some of you have seen my rig. However not in action. Thus far it has handled the small stuff really easily but needs work to handle the bigger stuff.
I am looking for some ideas/help getting this thing ready for some place like Uwharrie. I am also looking for recommendations on my setup and things I need to improve/rebuild. I am however on a very tight budget so I am looking for things that I can do myself for little money that will improve off road performance.
At the moment I know I need work/help on the drive train and Steering.
I will post a list of what I know needs work the most soon.
I am turning this post into a collaboration post for this build.

I'd say you should probably start looking into building a cage in the cab that you could one day tie into a tube bed. Also some sliders might help. Are you locked yet?

I am wanting to build an Exo for the truck with a separate bed. Don't have the funds for that at the moment.
A spool in the rear along with manual/ e-locker in the front and at least 4.88. is one of a few things that are on the to do in the near future list. Installing a hysteer steering is another.
Right now I need help with the drive line angles and getting the drive line set up properly for the amount of lift/flex I have on the truck. I have been doing a lot of research on this but don't really trust myself to properly set up drive line angles. Needs to handle highway speeds in 2wd. At the same time I need to extend/beef up my drive shafts.

Ok nothing has been really happening with Skeletor. Yes I said Skeletor. That is what my friends call it and it has stuck.
Right now I am looking for $$$, which is really scarce, or free parts.
Anyone have any toyota parts they want to donate to the cause?
So far the only thing that I have bought for the truck since the last post is a wider rear axle and third, and a polyurethane shifter bushing from Marlin crawler. Haven't done anything with either.
Anyway I have to turn my focus back to my 4-runner, which after the Mexico expedition it went on during the winter break it now has a fist size dent and a hole in my roof, broke the visors off my rear windows, destroyed my roof rack, cracked my sunroof, and busted my rear wheel seals and bearings (which I had replaced down there for $65 including labor) and did something to the engine. Now I just have to save to fix my DD.

Good God. What on earth were you doing to destroy all of that. I mean your sunroof? haha

That is what happens when you have 100lbs of gear on your safari rack and you hit a Mexican speed bump at 65mph. Something has to give and it ain't the speed bump.
Calling for help.

So I really want to get my rig wheelable again so I can come hang out with all of you on a trail ride for once. So I am asking for help and payment in Beer. If anyone has time it would be appreciated.
Idea of the things to be done.
1. Front Shock hoops
2. High steer
3. Drive shafts
4. Rebuild axles
5. Build rear bed
6. Bigger tires
