I got the new steering system installed Saturday since we didn't have the trail day.
Here are some (crappy cell phone) pics:
I am sure you all notice the incline to the passenger side of the drag link. Since I wasn't using the misalignment spacers, I needed to get the hiem closer to verticle rather than flat so it could rotate. I think this is what you meant Will, right? To get it verticle and away from the tie rod itself the mount got a little tall, but it seemed to work ok when I tried it out.
Thank you SC4WDA!
So, I have a list of things to do before we go to Windrock
1. Install my new 14" 5125 shocks:
2. Install front bump stops
3. Install my 14 bolt pinion guard
4. Reseal my other three tires that have debris stuck in the bead allowing air to seep out.
5. Other - TBD
This is gonna be awesome!

Looks slick Charles.
What's the difference between 5100 and 5125 Bilsteins?

I "think" the 5100 are lift/vehicle specific, where the 5125 is universal and ordered based on travel & valving. The 5125s are similar to the 5150s without the reservoir.

Yeah you're right about the differences. I run 5125s simply because I chose them based on length. Whereas Mr. WJ has 5100's that are lift/vehicle specific. Same shock beyond that.

I did find a transmission, picked it up this past Sat. Its from an 88 Grand Wagoneer. I won't have time to try and get it installed until probably the 30th. I want to take it up to work to use the lift.
I am gonna try and take the front driveshaft off and get it to Fleetpride to get it shortened unless you guys/we can do it.
I am looking forward to posting up some pictures of my FAIL. Pretty impressive destruction of the adapter. I am probably going to have to replace the D300 as well because I saw at least one of the bolts pulled out of the case, but that's not the end of the world, I have an extra. I will just have to transfer over the rear output yoke for the CV shaft.
Thanks for asking, I will post up before tackling this job if anyone is interested in assisting.
Charles

Deets on the driveshaft?
I'd barter you some beer and do it for you, or you can come do it yourself fo' free.
Fixing the problem I created

Just wanted to show you guys what kept me from going to Windrock and how it was remedied.
Some quick back story.....switched from D44 to D60 (longer pinion), moved front axle back 1", never shortened the front driveshaft went fourwheeling......
Here is the damage:
So I replaced the Transmission output adapter, half the problem solved.
Now on to the driveshaft:
I used the technique Will suggested at our last meeting and it couldn't have worked any better, cut the weld and tap with a hammer until you see the crack and they come apart.
Then you cut off what you don't need, in my case about 2" and put it back together:
Sorry no pics of the weld, but I think it will hold.
Thanks for helping put it all back together yesterday.

On Board Air
I've been gathering the parts for a while now and wanted to get this done before the trip to Big Dogs. I am using the York AC compressor that was on the 360 when I pulled it from the Waggy.
Here are the pics:
Filter, Check Valve, Pressure Switch, Safety Valve, Mainfold, Guage
Mounted:
Intake Air Filter, Hose and Compressor Fitting & Pressure Hose and Fitting
Air Tank & Hose
Air Tank Mounted under vehicle above and in front of the rear axle
I have plumbed all the hose, I need to wire in the pressure & on/off switches, top off the oil in the compressor and see what happens.

Thanks Alec! We'll have a good time for sure, but I have a list of things I have to do before the trip.
