was wondering/hoping there is no difference in the leaf spring pad width in the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. That there interchangeable in the aspect? Maybe thinking this a dumb question due to the fact Caldwell has a 3/4 ton Blazer and my Blazer is 1/2 ton. I just want to be certain either way.

So far as I know, there aren't any differences in width -- there are some differences in length from 1/2 3/4 and 1-ton.
What's the saying?? There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers..

To be more specific, I'm referring to pad to pad when using "width"

Ahhh. Pad to pad across the axle? In that case, yes, there are differences. I bought a 14-bolt rear for my truck in the dark without measuring, and I had to grind off the leaf spring perches and weld on new ones. However, it turned out to be a good thing as it allowed me to set my driveline angles correctly. I believe, but I'm not certain, that 87-91 solid axle front chevy's have the same rear axle spring perch "width" and 83-87 all models are the same. After 91 it's a crap shoot. 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and 1-tons were all different from then until now.

On the square body trucks like that all 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton rears have the same pad width. The one ton rears have a more narrow width as opposed to the others so they wont bolt up without reworking pads and shock mounts. All the front axles are the same..
Your friend swapped in a 3/4 ton 14 bolt, it did not come that way. You should do the same and get rid of that 10 bolt rear..
