Is there such a thing? Im breaking down the D44 while im at home and cant get the damn spindle to budge and im pretty sure there is nothing holding it on cept for a tight rust seal maybe. I dont wanna bang on it too hard as the surface is smooth where the bearings sit on it.

Just grab a 2x4 and hit against that on the spindle. I have never seen a spindle puller but you could prolly make a slide hammer work somehow. But the 2x4 will be your best bet. And swing hard. Just make sure the 6 bolts or whatever are off and swing away.

Yea, but they can get frozen to the knuckle. If you have any heat you could try that. And you might seriously have to beat the ever loving poop outta it.

Haha there ya go. Just have fun, and dont deform the spindle. Use wood or a dead blow.

Try coating it with pb blaster about 10 times and tap. Let sit for a while. Try going at it from the back side with a chisel. Good luck.

x2
It took me 3 days to get the spindle off my f150. I tried everything listed above, and nothing worked until I got the sledge with a piece of wood to soften the blow.

ive tried all of this so far, but apparently not enough

i will bang a little harder when i get back home. i will have more anger to let out. did i mention i hate EngE and its complete lack of applicability toward CEE? sophmore year will hopefully be more purposeful.

Yeah, on the easy spindle. The hard one would not come of so it had to be sacrificed. About ten full swing blows with a 9lb spitting maul got it off, it was trash though. The option was either that, or cut it off with a torch, luckily I had a spare axle to rob a good spindle off. Not to scare you or anything.

Wouldn't count on it. Thats why I'm in BC instead. That and the fact that my grades weren't near good enough to get into Engineering...
