So the XJ is going through some changes and I have a few decisions to make. As of now I’ve put the 6.5â€

yea fuck the 5 on 5.5, this is getting expensive, just pull front and rear waggy's, run that bolt pattern and all, and sell your rear 44 (should cover the cost of both waggy axles....minus the conversion work) Question me bitchJwlman wrote:Waggy 44 coverted to the ford pattern of 5 on 5.5 and then covert your rear to the same. Randy is doing the waggy thing up front so you can ask him some questions
Did you have to buy more stuff besides the stuff you already ordered?shmoken875 wrote:yea fuck the 5 on 5.5, this is getting expensive, just pull front and rear waggy's, run that bolt pattern and all, and sell your rear 44 (should cover the cost of both waggy axles....minus the conversion work) Question me bitchJwlman wrote:Waggy 44 coverted to the ford pattern of 5 on 5.5 and then covert your rear to the same. well, $375 for both axles was a decent deal since the RE brackets (which cost over $300 anyways) were already burned on the axle. But for new bearings, spindles, and seals it was $330, then $30 for the shafts (may not need to count as most would come with shafts), $10 for the backing plates, $50 for calipers, $25 for pads, $30 for hoses, $120 for hub/rotor assembly, $70 for warn hubs, its probly gonna be around $190 for gears and install kit, about $70 for the carrier, $175 for rims for the new bolt pattern, and around $50 for rear wheel adaptors. Plus I'm not sure what I'll do for a draglink yet.....Jwlman wrote:Did you have to buy more stuff besides the stuff you already ordered?
I think if you find front and rear waggys in decent shape, it might not be that bad, plus you could throw the locker in the rear 44.Ctrow wrote:Having deep thoughts, wish i wasn't poor
Make sure you do it right the first time. If you are even considering the swap you should go ahead and do it or else you will just waste money on the 30 like me and Randy didCtrow wrote:right now i'm thinking upgrade to TJ shafts and keep it open, but i change my mind like peter changes tires

I didn't do much to mine, just bought one with 4.10s in it and tj shafts but randy regeared his and replaced every bearing and seal in his a few months before he blew the entire thing up.Ctrow wrote:Jwlman wrote:Make sure you do it right the first time.
