so today on my way back from work a high pitch grinding started comming from my front left. i suspected it was a torn cv and low and behold when i went to check it there was no tear but diff fluid spewing out front around the lower clamp. i got home and checked the other side and it was doing the same but wasnt making much noise yet. Makes me wonder if i even have any diff fluid left in there? im going to maybe tear it apart tonight to see what the metal on metal sound is, i hope its bad so i can be motivated to cut it all apart :)

I'll admit, having the acura has been nice. Knowing you dont have to get everything buttoned up in the wee hours of the morning cuz you have something else to drive is a comfort. But in your shoes, I'll revert back to the miller three step plan to have a wheeler, almost. I'd dd the taco and get a beater to wheel. 3rd gen. toyota pickup would be easier to do a sas.

If I was in your position...sell the taco. Buy a corolla (or a beater of the like) and a 2nd or 3rd gen that has EFI with the money. There is an 86 for sale across the street from codys. I dont know anything about it, just know its there.

hmm depends on how much work the front needs, hopefully it will make it until the end of the summer without too much trouble

Keep in mind that the taco will fetch a lot more $$ if everything is in working order. So if there is something wrong with the front end, it would probably be in your best interest to just fix it.

Just fix it and drive it. Unless you're gonna paint it. It won't be "fetchin" any mega bucks.
