I've been sitting on my hands long enough about hauling off what's left of the '81 yota. What I need is to borrow a trailer that is wide enough to roll the thing onto. My little 8x5 utility trailer is a bit narrow. If you could also do the towing, I'd hook you up with gas money... otherwise I can find someone else with a truck. I'm halfway tempted to try rolling it up onto my 8x5, go ahead and take the axles off, and strap the frame right to the trailer. But, that would be less than fun.

I have a trailer that it should fit on. As far as being able to find the time to haul it anywhere, well that might be sometime in the fall of 2010.

Cool man. So where/when could I pick that up? I'm assuming the trailer itself does not weigh more than a ton, so I could get it to the house with the cavalier.

I'm just talking about the empty trailer, with no truck on it. Why would that be an issue as long as it is under my towing capacity (2000 lbs)? I'm also assuming that it uses a 2" ball... but not having experience with larger trailers, I don't know if that would be another flaw in my plan.

Derek's trailer is fairly beefy. I don't know exactly what it weighs, but it just seems like a lot to put behind a car, especially considering the tongue weight is prolly enough to bottom the car's rear suspension.

hell, my mom's CRV is only rated to pull 1500. cavalier=2000?

if I'm in town when you move it, I'd almost prefer you borrow my exploder rather than put it behind your car.

Yeah, I don't know about the ratings... but it's the Z24 so maybe the stiffer suspension and 150hp lets it pull more than the CRV. I've hauled one ton of wood pellets on my trailer before. That would be a total of around 2500 lbs. But, I only did that once (so obviously it is not something I prefer to do). I'll trust your judgement on hutch's trailer, as I've never seen it. Thanks for the exploder option... I'll leave the cavalier as a last resort.

Cool, looks like Saturday morning would work... J&J is open until noon, which means I could have the rest of the day for wheeling.

Got this thing hauled off this morning. Thanks for the trailer, hutch... and thanks for the truck and the help, Adam. It was kind of comical when it was supporting itself by the front leafs and the truck bed.
