Not actually for a vehicle... I'm looking for an oil cooler for a project I'm cooking up. Lemme know...

more details...?

like my exploder has an oil cooler which exchanges heat with the coolant circuit. something like that, or just a simple radiator?

Yeah, something like that... a tranny cooler. Basically, something with fins that I can blow air through to cool, and able to withstand some pressure in the line.

I have the ginormous AC condensor still in my ranger. I've been meaning to yank it out and throw it away. but if you're pushing something very viscous like oil, you'll prolly want the larger diameter, shorter passages of a tranny cooler.

you can get a small aux cooler at Napa reasonably cheap... maybe less than $20 but I don't recall exactly.

From what I have been told, the cooler from a refrigerator works well for cooling oil. Lots of them at a dump.

Thanks for the ideas. I've found that a brand new tranny cooler can be had for $34 on ebay (including shipping), so if I don't come up with anything, there's that option. I'm kicking myself for tossing out the condenser in an old broken dehumidifier that I raided for parts a while back. It would probably have worked as well. If anybody has a non-working dehumidifier or air conditioning unit they wanna get rid of, lemme know.
