saw calebs post and decided to make one of my own
Finally have all parts except for the hub/rotor assemblies, and the draglink. Before vacation I got it clean, primed, and painted, put new ball joints in, put the ring gear on the carrier, got one new u-joint in and the other mysteriously blew a cap apart while I was pressing it in. Back from vacation now, and hoping to get this thing together before I come back down to the burg.

If you want you can come down to my house in the begging of Aug and we can throw that in and fab up a drag link for you. I should be well experienced in the making of drag links by then

yessir, deep would be nice for the torque but I'm turning over 2500 at 70 as is, not to mention thats the deepest the 8.25 can go, so I was pretty limited in my decision lol

Not to be a day late and a dollar short, but I'd be verrrrry wary of that truss being welded only to the centersection.

Its the RE kit, the section that bolts to the diff cover bolts isn't on because I'll be changing the fluid real soon once the gears are broken in. I understand what you're sayin though its not like the TNT kit that trusses like the whole damn tube. It's already been put through its paces by some dude [either DC or someone that worked for DC4wd I believe] that was running hydro assist, high steer and all that stuff, and I didn't find any issues when I gave it an inspection. We'll see how it goes.

I don't believe he will have a problem with it once he reinstalls the piece that bolts to the diff cover. I haven't had a problem with mine over the 3 years it has been installed. The backside of the bridge has been bent around to stiffen it with the front being supported by the diff cover piece.

just prior to final trackbar adjustment and test drive, there was a little death wobble, but it was out of alignment and theres currently no stabilizer on it
