14SF Swap and Regear

Post by The Beav »

In an effort to make my rig more capable over at the mall I have decided to regear to 4.10's. There was no way I was going to spend any money on the 10 bolt currenty under the truck. Although it would probably continue to survive because of the truck being a reg cab short bed I am not going to risk it and polish the turd.

I have not yet regeared the front, I will do that once the 14SF is under the truck. I wrote 2 tech articles for the Chevy forums I frequent so although not too much would be usefull to you guys, expect maybe the lock right install, tech is tech right?

Glad to see you got that done. What holds the axle stubs in those housings? I am going to 4.10's soon and need to fix the front housing I have and one of the axles has pulled out of the housing. Wonder what might be damaged in there.
