Mechanic for an engine swap

Everyone --

I'm looking for a mechanic to take my tired old 350 out of my suburban and swap in a 6.2 diesel and fix my wiring harness and install all the parts needed in association with this swap (maybe including a banks turbo kit). Both trucks are over at P&J right now, but he's not interested in getting to it anytime soon. I have all the parts needed, including a hd ORD engine x-member, engine mounts, torque converter, new ORD full coverage bumper, transmission cooler, off-road lights, dual yellow-top Optima batteries, ORD steering box brace kit and other goodies. I simply don't have time to do all this myself, and Laura and I are getting tired of sharing a car. Money isn't so much an issue as is getting it done soon. Anyone got any recommendations? I've been without my truck since July, and I'm getting irritable.

oh -- I also have 39.5 Iroks that need to be mounted, so someone with a plasma cutter and the will to do some serious fender trimming is desirable.

I'd be glad to turn a wrench though I couldn't offer much in the way of technical knowledge...

Thanks for the offer -- Baldwin's just out of Radford on Rt. 11 is currently in the middle of the project -- I'm holding my breath. I've heard both bad and good stuff about them, so I'll let all of you know how they do.

They do know diesel engines and they are pretty well versed on the Banks systems, so I have high hopes. We'll see!

I used to be neighbors with the owner. Not that that helps. Typical good-ol-boy mechanic, but I wouldnt doubt his engine building abilities.

Thanks Miller. I met with them last night and I definitely feel a lot better about it. he yanked my tranny and deemed it not up to handling the torque of the banks kit and had it rebuilt -- it seems he definitely knows his sh$t.

It's an 85 suburban.
