Need bumpers? Slider? Fab work and welding?

Hey guys, i figured i would put this here so even the non-official members could benefit from it ...

I am offering to you, my time and skills (if you can call them that ;) ).

need bumpstops made? need a hosswang bumper to bash into rocks? Need a frame crack welded up or a driveshaft shortened? Then let me help you.

im located here in Blacksburg and i work out of my house. i have some free time i need to fill and you can help me do it.

If you need some Fab work and Welding done, get it done by an AWS (American Welding Society) and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Certified welder! I am AWS and ASME certified in GMAW (MIG) welding in 1G, 1F, 2G, 2F, 3G and 3F positions for INFINITE THICKNESS through an AWS and ASME certified instructor/teacher and through AWS and ASME certified destructive testing .... i have the paperwork and the testing coupons available, too.

i am also in the middle of my 1F/1G, 2F/2G testing for SMAW (stick) welding through the same instructor and AWS / ASME testing.

Not to mention i am half way finished with my GTAW (TIG) course as well.

on hand i can TIG or Stick weld most of whatever you need done with a Miller Synchrowave 200. With a few days notice i can MIG what you need done (i have an agreement with a friend to let me use his MIG).

ill post pictures of my work as i find them ... but to hold you over, here are some picturees of my TJ ... i built the front and rear bumpers and sliders.

bumpers are 1/4", front has winchplate and bolts down in 10 places!! not 6 like the factory bumpers and most aftermarket bumpers costing $300+!!!! Rear bumper has integrated hitch which has towed 5000+ lbs and never deflected. (some of the guys in the club can attest to how stout these bumpers are. we have yanked on them hard multiple times and even winched the TJ across asphalt with them. When Grubb's ford broke down on Bobcat, another un-named member of the club tore his rear bumper off of his 4 runner trying to pull him off the trail ... i stepped up and yanked him off the trail .... burned up the tranny doing it, but my rear bumper didnt flinch ....)

the sliders are 3/16" angle and are mounted with .500" plate to the body mounts. i have beat on them hard in Big Fork, TN and in Uwharrie Natl forest .... not a flinch out of them.

torn rear bumper .... Disclaimer: the owner of the 4runner did not build this bumper!!! not his fault!!!

that to Tim (ceejay5) for giving me something to do for a week ...

put on new lower control arm mounts on his 07 4dr JK ...

1/4" mounts with 1/4" skids TIG welded outside AND on the inside (left handed TIG ... yeah) then SMA welded onto the tubes ...

10 hours of work into it + consulting with him ... without school would have been a two day turn around....
