About how much lift will I get from just a SAS on a 88 toyota? Will it keep me at stock or give me a little lift?

It will really all depend on what springs you use up front. Marlin make both 4", 5", and 6" lift springs that will probably give you a little more lift depending on what hanger bracket you use in the front. If you use a kit for it, im not sure how it is for the minis, but for Taco's the most common drop hanger was like 2 or 3 inches. That won't give you two or three inches of lift but will add a little bit of height. So to answer your question yes you will gain some lift, it just depends on what parts you use as to how much. Check out the SAS section on TTORA.com for some more info. Oh and you will have to lift the rear accordingly, but should really just require springs and shocks and not too much else.

We need a little more info. What springs, hanger, shackles and so fourth do ya plan on using?
If you don’t have a plan then what is the intended use of the rig? How much lift are you looking for? Tire size?

My experience tells me do everything you can to keep it low and everything you can to get the axle as far forward as possible. The 2 kind of go together. To keep it low use shorter shackles minimal drop in the hanger and little to no lift from the springs. It seems most people finish the swap and then wish it were lower. Check ot some of the Ftoy builds on pirate they are usually the ones working the hardest to keep things low.

I cant speak on the SAS part mine is an 83 but I put in a drop hanger 1-1/2" and longer shacles with 6 leaf rear springs and I only got about 3 inches of lift and the ride is much better than stock. I would think if you set out to keep it low you could get by with 3-4" of lift and have plenty of room for a 35-37
