Would anyone be interested in renting a heated, dry 2 car garage for month/week/day at a time? 2 miles from campus. What would it be worth to you? If this happens it probably wouldn't be until end of February or 1st of march.

Yes. I'd be very interested. What's the power availability? Any chance of 220V?
Any limitations on working hours? i.e. is this at someone's house who's gonna care if I got a grinder running at 10pm?
Need to know that stuff before I know what it's worth to me.

It would be my house. No neighbors for a few hundred yards so your safe to work at 2 in the morning.

Oh, ok, cool
What about power?
Are you moving out of your current place? How are you getting out of the lease

BTW, if there is suitable power accesibility, and the rate is good, I'm interested in renting it until May...
That's not to say I wouldn't be open to your arranging other week/weekend rentals as well, we'd just have to figure it out.

This is a standard 2 car garage with a 220 outlet.
Peter, you’d have to take the axles off your truck to make it fit
Now if you're moding the subie then by all means...
I have no idea on the price. Whats it worth to you guys?
I’m not quite sure how this will work out. The owner can’t make up his mind. This thread was mostly to see if you guys might be interested.

to help you with prices....there is a 40X80 garage in roanoke going for 350 a month and a "large storage building" also in roanoke for 75 a month. i just searched craigslist to see what kind of rates were out there....

I pay $300.00/month for my 35'x25' "storage unit" here in C'Burg. A few of you have seen. There are a few restrictions on what I can and can't do there, but they have 200 amp 240VAC power and plenty of room.

James, are you saying there are units available? I was under the impression there was a waiting list for them...

I posted the infor mostly for comparison purposes, but there is one available as of today:
35'x50' for $500.00/month. I think that is one of the corner units on top of the hill. They are very roomy but I think only have 1 rollup door. Perhaps a few of you could get together snd get one? Split it three ways and you are only looking at $167.00/month.
One of the worst rules/restrictions they have is they don't allow welding in the rentals. I weld all of th time and as far as I can tell, it only covers the owners asses in the event of a fire/accident. Keep that in mind if you would be looking to rent one. I don't mind "breaking" the rule, but others might.

Damn, that's a lot more than I can afford.
Happen to have their contact info? Or at least the name of the place so I can look it up? Thanks!

Rice handles the management for Precision. I asked if they had any of the smaller units coming up for rent, but she said no for now.
