Getting ready to put another order together. Hope to put it in either Friday or Monday, so let me know what your needs are ASAP so I can get pricing.

Thanks,

Ary

Ary,

I haven't forgotten about the welding table steel. Are you still interested? I can wait a while, but if you want to do it soon let me know. I guess we could order it with this order, but then we have to have a plan for unloading.

Have you ever priced HREW from them? I would like to make sliders for the Taco out of 1.75. But with trail gears prices its hard to justify doing it myself depends on the price. If I remember correct a stick of 1.75 DOM was around 90$.

I'll need some stuff... only thing I know for sure right now is 2x4x1/8 box. I only need 5 or 6 feet if that matters.

James, where were you going to get the steel from in Roanoke? I'm not opposed to ordering it from there, since it turns out I don't need any DOM at the moment. I hadn't forgotten either, just waiting for $$ to come together(could probably do it with this order if we get it all from Roanoke). It's easy to order steel for my uncle, he gives me money to do it with

Adam, if I have, I don't remember. I'm pretty sure most of the places in Roanoke can get ERW, just not DOM.

Scott, take a look at www.speedymetals.com You can get a 6' of 2x4x.120 for ~$37 + shipping. Their prices are VERY reasonable, and actually beat my main supplier on a few things. My uncle just picked up 1" DOM .065 wall for $2.50 a foot, Ryerson wanted $3.75!!

I don't know how much you need, or what size. Do some research and get back to me ;)

I might be interested in 12"x12"x1/2" of steel plate depends on the price.

Ary,

Here is a quote from the thread back in January:
I checked with Steel Services for prices on 1/2" and 5/8" (definitely out of my budget):

4'x8'x1/2"- $330.29
4'x8'x5/8"- $548.70

I checked back with Ace Steel for the 1/2" and price is the same ($303.37), and checked to see how much to shear in half (add $10), so looks like the same as Reyerson, without delivery (although I didn't ask about delivery).
I'm sure the prices have gone up a bit since steel in general has increased steadily over the last few months. Here are their phone numbers if you want to price anything else (and I don't blame you at all for sticking with Ryerson- good relationship):

Ace: 540-985-0292
Steel Services: 540-774-4461

I haven't dealt with anyone in particular at either place.

BTW, for anyone looking for small pieces, Ace has a huge rack of various sizes and types of steel "leftovers" that they sell at a discount.

I'm going to be needing a bit of steel within a month or so, not sure if I'm ready for it yet though. Could you get me pricing on the following:

3-20' sticks of 6x2x1/4 channel

2-40' sticks of 3x1.5x1/4 channel (or 4-20' sticks if they can't get 40')

2-20' sticks of 5x3x1/4 angle

2-20' sticks of 4x1/4 flat

2-20' sticks of 2x2x3/16 angle

Like I said, I may not be ready for all this metal on this order, but depending on how good the price is it may motivate me.

Thanks,
Grubb
