Anyone have a beater car for sale?

Good gas mileage is my aim. My Suburban get 9mpg in traffic and I just found out that my internship assignment for the summer puts me at a 60mi round trip every damn day this summer. I live near the beach, so all 60 miles will be "in traffic" most days. That's too much gas.
Any help? Cheapness is a much higher priority than looks or age...

Would an 84 XJ get above 20mpg? I'm hoping to find an old Trooper. I had an 86 Trooper II that you couldn't kill. A friend had an 87 that lost a water pump, but he was broke and he had paid about what a water pump would cost for the entire vehicle a year earlier...SO, he drove it without a water pump...for over a month before it finally blew for good.

This is a cheap car for sale on the CCVT forum:
FS: The Beater...1990 Audi 80
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 1990 Audi 80 Quattro Sedan for sale. It is equipped with a 5 speed manual and AWD with locking rear diff. It has the 5 cylinder engine. Mileage is over 208000. Exact mileage unknown due to broken odometer. Engine runs fine for its age/mileage and has new oil and filter as of last week. It is no race-car, but it will get you where you need to go.
The good:
-Power Windows
-Sunroof that works well as a vent
-new tires (nov. 07)
-new brakes (dec. 07)
-new alternator (july 07)
-new rear tie rods (dec. 07)
-new front sway bar end links (dec. 07)
The bad:
-currently without state inspection (will need exhaust patch and readjustment of parking brake; should be taken care of prior to sale)
-only body damage is dent over right rear wheel
-could use a paint job, but its what to expect on a car this old
-bad strut mount on right rear ($50 dollar part and not hard for someone who knows suspension)
-mismatched turn signal lenses with one being clear and the other amber (both blink yellow though which means that will pass inspection)
-Needs an alignment, not terribly bad though. It doesn't seem to pull at all, just haven't gotten it done since the suspension work was done over Christmas.
The car will hopefully be inspected with exhaust fixed. I plan to take it to the shop Thursday. If it isn't inspected, price will drop.
This could be a good car to drive around in while your race car is broken!
Please someone buy it so I have a bigger down payment for my new car. I am looking to sell before the weekend after graduation. I have title in hand.
Ben
Also, I have a 95 V6 Camaro for sale soon. Runs good, but has high miles. It is a 5 speed and needs some body work, but not too bad overall. I will take $1000.00 like it sits.

3.4L? What kind of gas mileage you get? What kind of body work?

No idea. I would guess mid to high 20's. I bought the car from an auction in DC for the purpose of swapping in a LT1. Body has a dent in the rear corner of the car above the taillight, and a scrape on the passenger side. The front nose piece has been replaced and doesn't fit quite right, and needs paint. Overall the car doesn't look terrible IMO for a 13 year old car with high miles. It also needs a battery, tires are about done, and some stereo work.
I really would like a grand out of it, but will talk for sure. If you or anyone else can take it soon, and I don't need to do anymore work before officially putting it up for sale, I will definitely be willing to negotiate.
