Managed to total the wife's Celica the other day, so we're on the market for a new vehicle. Our new living situation will require 4WD in the winter so looking for a 4Runner. 1st or 3rd gen preferably a manual trans and in good working and looking order.

Also would consider any '98 and newer Subaru's.

Also would consider any '94 + 80-Series Land Cruiser.

Also would consider any late model XJ Cherokee..

Keep me in the loop, we're gonna have to do something pretty quick.

Oh yeah....I'm cheap.

Don't buy an 80 if you're driving very far. The mpg SUCKS. We're talking 14mpg doing 60mph on 81 taking it REALLY easy trying milk every last drop.

Dude, taking it REALLY easy for you is like driving normal for everyone else. I was able to get 15 in the 60 doing 60-70(up hill-down hill) on 81. I find it hard to believe you could only get 14 in your 80. Come to think about though, I didnt have a 1000lbs of shit in the back of the 60 :flipoff2:

If your worried about mileage, my 4runner on 33" muds gets 22mpg doing 70 on 81.

Yeah yeah :flipoff2:

The cruiser has 33's on it(came with 32s stock) and I have about 3-400lbs of crap in it, but the 3rd row is removed. Other than that, it's stock.

Seriously though, I drove like a grandma around town for an entire tank as an experiment and only boosted my in-town mileage from 9 to 10.5. On the highway if I run 65-70 and slow down going up hills instead of hammering it, I can squeeze out 14.5.

My figures are on the low-side of normal for an 80. Some guys are eeking out 17 on the highway, but they drive 55 on stock tires with 100k less miles on their trucks.

Yeah, we're fine. Cell phone pics up shortly. My first time in an airbag crash. The air bags were more brutal than the wreck. I had mad rug burn on my arms for a couple days.

Anyone want a sick 1.8L 4-cylinder for a buggy. I know this guy that could make you a deal... :loser:
