Is there a good exhaust shop around here? I need some new tube on the heep. A quick search in google shows a few but does anyone have experience with some?

I don't know about the places around here, but the best shop around is United Muffler up from the Subaru place in Wytheville. Mike is a true artist when it comes to exhaust. That's the only place I'll take my junk.

are you wanting cheap? or a really nice job? like terry said united muffler will do you a really nice job but they are not verry cheap! there is a place over in giles called pembroke automotive they do good work if you stand right with them and tell them what you want them to do an how you want it and they are cheap i had a muffler and a tail pipe put on my tacoma last week for 56 bucks thats with me already having the muffler. if you are gettin a new muffler i would go to advance and get it there it will save you some money.

there is a united muffler in cburg 540-382-4363 is the number they will NOT install a muffler thay you dont buy from them

the number to the place in giles is 540-626-7828 they will install anything you take them its probley a 20 minite drive from vt

Definitely United Muffler in C-burg. I had them do custom exhaust on my 4-runner. I told them that I wanted as much clearance as possible and keep the pipe tight to the truck. They did an awesome job. That is the only place I will take my rigs to get exhaust work done.

x3 on United Muffler in Cburg. they straight piped and replaced a rusty tailpipe on my diesel for about 60 bucks. its on roanoke st. near the drive-in movie place

I've received quotes from United in Christiansburg that were pretty outrageous. Mention the words "stainless steel" in the inquiry and see what happens. They were quoting $40 a ft for stainless exhaust tubing (should be more like $12-$15).

I'd definitely call around for quotes.

T&K out on Prices Fork is okay and doesn't charge much. They'll let you bring your own parts in.

Pembroke will be the next place I try.

You can get some good prices on mufflers and such on Ebay.

IF your willing to go a little further, Perfection Muffler in roanoke is great. Not only are they family, but anyone in roanoke will recommend them.

I like Magnaflow. Cheap. Stainless steel. Not too loud. They don't have that annoying ass Flowmaster thrum to them. You can get them off ebay for ~$50.

You can always go the route I did and get various straight sections of pipe and elbows and make one up yourself. It cost me 35$ for a complete system. There should be plenty of people around to help with the welding

+1 for doing it yourself. Summit mufflers are cheap, and sound decent.

They can get all the parts you need for a good price, and they are local (Roanoke).

I don't think I will have time to get it done before harlan if I build it myself so thats why I am going with a shop

I've never used them personally, but close friends have given them high marks.

I dont know how much stuff you have to work around but it really did not take me long to do probably only an hour or two including getting the parts.
