Axle Wrap????

I know Brian has a cheap-O way to prevent axle wrap, so does anyone got pics of McNinney's anti-axle wrap set-up? Or any other set ups?
I can tell that I am starting to get a little bit of wrap on my new springs and need to do something cheap before I get the itch to 4 link the rear!!!! I can't afford that right now.
Thanks,
Chris

I'll sell you a 4runner that doesn't have axle wrap.

I saw a picture somewhere where a guy had taken and run a cable from the bolt in the forward spring eye to a bolt/pin welded to the spring plate. If I can remember where I saw the picture I will post it for you. Might be a fairly cheap alternative to get you by until you go 4-link.

Look under username geberhard I believe for the cable setup. For Brians he just used a top link from tractor supply and cut some steel/welded it to the frame in the bend above the spring hangers and a bracket on the u-bolt plate. The links are close to parrallel with the ground. I have pics but lost my webshots link, I'll find it sooner or later.

The axle wrap bar I put on mine tends to load up the whole jeep when you put it in gear. I don't know if this is because of the stiffness or geometery of the bar, but I'd be interested if a chain between the two points would have the same reaction.

The best setup would be the "good idea" pic. Here the torque of the axle is transferred to a vertical force on the shackle.
That setup will not work very well. The axle will still rotate until the bar is trying to pull the shackle to the rear. Like the "bad idea" pic.

so THAT's how it works.... interesting... I'm been approaching it backwards... and appearently not understanding any pictures I've seen so far either...
