I found oxy act tanks do I keep them?

As it says I found a set of fullsize tanks recently dumped. They appear to have been dumped to clean out a house to sell. They look in good shape painted, no rust, one has a 1998 test date, even had a slight amount of pressure in them. The sticker says BOC gas of which Arcet may deal with.
I am trying to figure out if they are worth loading up and bringing home it will be some work to get them. Will I be able to get them filled/exchanged? What are they worth?

excuse the english i have no keyboard

Honestly Adam they aren't worth much, Arcet and airgas will not fill tanks that aren't theirs and those tanks are out of date. To have the re-certified would take about a month and cost more than leasing a set from arcet or airgas

I've had arcet tanks filled at airgas and vice versa, and both filled at Robert's oxygen. Nobody seemed to give me any real grief about it.

They are out of date though. I'd call airgas or arccet and see what they say.

i, too, have had random tanks exchanged / filled at arcet and airgas.

If you pick up a spare usable acetylene tank, I'll take one.

Still contemplating but I will probably leave them.

Use them for compressed air tanks. Hook up a compressor to them. You would only be putting 150psi at most. that is nothing compared to what they are rated for. You could strap them to your rig and use them as an on board air system.
