That's a good read. Interesting results, I have always had much better results with PB over wd-40 and liquid wrench. What are other people's personal experiences?

Yea I've had PB work better as well

To be honest with you I actually had heard from a backwoods redneck at work that he had freed multiple locked up engines by letting ATF gasoline and acetone sit in the cylinders for like a week or something. I do recall trying it on something of mine (don't remember what exactly) with great results.

x2 on PB .... it always seemed to work better for me than WD40 or LW ...

ill have to try the ATF acetone mix ....

same on all except LW...never used it.

PB's always done the trick for me. I even managed to get the upper shock bolts and spring bolts out of my XJ with out having to cut/torch a single thing.

I have used Acetone in my gas tank in my Cavalier when I had it and saw a MPG increase of about 3MPG (10%). 2oz acetone per 10 gallons of gas if anyone's interested.

i just had this conversation with my boss monday while trying to loosen a hose on a loader.....talking about how much better pb blaster is compared to liquid wrench.

those are interesting test results.

I've always liked AstroGlide, but KY Liquid works too and is easier to find.

If that's what you use for wrenching, I hope you don't use PB for other things...

melting candle into threads after heating works better than just heat too.... came from local machine shop and used often
