My '95 YJ rebuild, locked and linked

Well I figured I would go ahead and start a thread here to show where I basically am on my build and to get some help since now the only thing left is to link the front.

Started with the purchase of my jeep in May 2009
Image

Spent all summer working on it and came up with this
Image

Well the first time I ever got to use it I blew up the piece of crap D35 so in went an 8.8 that i regeared and all that good stuff to.
Image

After that besides my stupid starter issues everything worked fine. Well after searching craigslist I found an awesome deal on a set of 44/60 ford axles. They were already regeared and set up to bolt into a ZJ. I talked the guy down to $1000 from his original $1700, and then got my other axles sold for $1200 so I believe I came out pretty good with this deal.
Image

After getting the axles I did some thinking on different ways to run them under my YJ and decided to link the front with the brackets already on there and to cut all the brackets off the rear and run it SOA with waggies for a two inch stretch. The main reason I didn't use the rear 4 link brackets is they hung down so far it would have killed my clearance. For the front I decided to go with airshocks for simplicity so i picked up a set of Swayaways.

After pulling all the axles

Decided to flatbelly it. I'm not using just the crappy stock mounts, i've also got supports that tie into the slider mounts.

Got all the brackets off the rear axle

Got the new springs under it and the axle in place
Image

I also bought will's old wheels and tires
Image

This is what my final wheelbase should look like after about a 7" front stretch
Image

After getting the rear and skid pretty much finished I had to turn the jeep around so I would have plenty of room to link the front.
Image

Thats all the pictures I have for now. Since these I pulled off the front fenders and the front leafs and have my front axle set into place. I've also got all the front brackets cut off. In the mail I have all my stuff for my hydro assist, and just need to go to the junkyard for an astro box so i can get working on my front.

I cut the stock mount out of the old skid and welded it to my new one.
Image

Yea the body lift is still on my list to take off, although i'll probably just reduce it to one inch. The only real interference it looks like i'm going to have is a little bit on the top of the transfer case, and the old heat shield will need to be cut off to prevent it from interfering with my traction bar.
