(93) F150 2" lift kits

Friend has a 1993 4WD 5.0 ext cab, shot bed F150, hes looking for a middle of the road lift kit. Wants to retain the current ride characteristics as much as possible, but find an easy to install 2" lift kit. I'm not too keen on ferds, any ideas for him? He also hauls wood with it sometimes.

There are leveling kits (1.5-2") which usually just raise the front of the truck via taller/stiffer front coil springs.

From there, there are 4" and 6" lift kits, most of which include drop brackets for the TTB arms to correct to stock geometry. The back would either be a block, add a leaf, or spring pack (obviously).

I don't think there are too many 'middle of the road' lifts for TTB trucks. It's usually a jump from a leveling kit to about a 4" lift.

Obviously the leveling kit would be the easiest to install. For a larger lift, the TTB brackets/arms have rivets that need to be removed for the drop brackets.

but a leveling kit would mean hes hauling wood and dragging ass w/ no additional beef in the rear springs?

the hipster senor springs i have in my toyota have me riding slightly higher in the rear, but when hipster junior puts a toyota in the bed of my toyota my bumper isn't dragging on the ground. worth the front rake in my opinion.

would he be up for a small body lift with maybe an additional leaf (cheapest but not necessarily the easiest install)? That seems to fit the bill the best for what you described.

I was thinking along the same lines as Alec. If he's looking for something simple, cheap, and to retain factory suspension quality a body lift sounds like his best bet to me. I'm not sure if you can run spacers for the front coils but I dont see why not for like an inch and an aal in the back. That combined with a 1 inch body lift would work well for him I imagine.
