Toyota 22R/RE Head

I've got a Toyota 22RE head off a '89 4Runner. The head has been machined (decked), hot tanked, and checked for cracks. New EngnBldr Crawler cam, and new Toyota rocker arms. The motor it came off of had 135k when the head was pulled. The head was re-installed for 45 mins and then a main bearing spun and game over, but the head is in perfect condition. Looking to get $600.
Edit: Exhaust manifold not included.

C'mon, doesn't someone need a head for their 22RE. Those suckers pop head gaskets all the time.

I should probably know this, but does it work on the early 22re's? i.e. my 85?

Miller, I think there is some variance there, or at least that is what I hear. I've got (2) '89 engines, an '87 engine, '86 engine and a '86 22R. All the R/E engines I have seem to have identical looking heads, but I don't know if there is some minor differences. Hopefully someone will chime in with the exact tech.
I do know that there were some throttle body differences, but I feel fairly confident that this thing should fit on an '85 R/E engine without any fuss.

I believe there is some difference in deck height between certain motors. That is why they mix and match heads and blocks between the r and re to raise compression. I think there can also be some difference with the position of the cam in the head which can affect the timing chain. I dont know too many specifics this is just a little of the info I retained searching efi swaps.

Those damn engineers. Everything seems so similar and simple, then that stupid little detail comes and bites you in the ass.
