New "rig". She's got a real low crawl ratio...

Massey Ferguson 135 with Perkins 3cylinder Diesel. She's of unknown vintage, but aside from a fuel leak out of the sediment bowl (new pump/bowl on order) she's in pretty good shape. Fires right up every time I hit the key.

Now to find an affordable box blade and then a disc...

That's a good looking little tractor! We've talked about getting something similar to it to use in our barns at home.

Thanks.

I'd been looking for a while since we just bought some property...my neighbor had told me that the 135/150/165 Massey's were real good tractors back in the day, so I was excited to find that one. Got a decent deal (I think) and the thing fires right off, so I really can't complain. Contemplated spending less and getting a gasser (8N Ford or similar) since diesels bring so much more money, but I'm already happy I got the diesel. She just purrs along. My neighbor has a Ford 601 gas and its constantly getting carb or ignition issues. Have another buddy with an 801 Ford, same thing...

This sucker either has compression or it doesn't and if it has it, its gonna run. (I say that as I wait on a fuel pump...tomorrow the starter will probably shit out...)

Other good thing about those Masseys is that you could get em with power steering. Mine doesn't have it, but lots of 135's and 150's do.

EDIT: Maybe one day I'll spice it up a bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk-2ViFLwPY

Looked at a TO-20 on the side of the road on the way to buy this tractor. Wanted 1/2 what I paid for the 135, but it looked like the owner had beat it up and then just spray painted the whole thing...

Mowed a few acres after work today. I was happy with its performance.

that's a nice tractor. I'd like to replace our allis WD-45 with something like that.

that is about the condition we(my dad) found ours in. since we have rebuilt the engine, hydraulics, governor and rewired it twice. the only thing it needs now is a couple cans of paint. :lol2:
