BCDS will be April 16th. Poll has been updated for Trail Cutting vs Wheeling vs Both. BCDS seems fairly flexible. Please vote, even if you don't have a rig and would come along for trail cutting.

Well, we have found it only takes a few saws, with two guys cutting you'll need four guys to back them up, moving , throwing and stacking stuff clear of the trail. The hand work is usually the part that lags and proves to be the toughest. As far as what to cut, I already have a few thousand feet of potential trail marked with flags, or if you guys just want to cut a particular route that interest you, that is fine as well as long as it doesn't interfere with long range T/A plans. When we meet I will certainly give you some guide line and show you what is planed for the overall trail network, then you can pick and choose.

FYI, we have a company saw on the property, and a few of my guys who will most likely be there always have a saw with them. As stated above enough saws is typically not the problem but lack of hands cleaning and clearing behind the saws.

Cutting is great, and we will take as much labor from you guys that you wish to give, but I also understand you want to have fun and enjoy the weekend and trails for what it is, we will strike a balance between the two and not work so much that you wish you had not come at all.

We will plan to go to BCDS April 16th.


Now, we need to know what you guys would like to do. There is the potential for wheeling, there is the potential for trail cutting, and their is the potential for both. I'm also sure there could be some camping involved too.

So, post up what you are interested in doing. Any member should be able to come out and trail cut, even if you don't have a rig. We'd like to get everyone out that we can for trail cutting if the interest is there.

As long as i'm not going home that weekend i'm in for trail cutting. I don't especially want to camp though.

I'm in for both. Cutting trails would be a lot more fun if we could try em out afterward.

In light of people's interest in trying the trails out afterward, who would actually bring their rig to BCDS?

I'm up for both and am willing to camp if others are interested. I will be bringing to truck to wheel, but obviously only what I am able to, which may or may not be much.

Planning to go and would like to stay overnight. I am working on another project for James and would like to have 2 days to get it done just in case.

I'm bringing the yoyo for spectating since I won't be able to make it to Callanate this weekend. Not a rig but I won't be needing a right seat in order to make the trip. I would be in for camping.

I vote for both. I would bring my truck, and would consider bringing my rig depending on how Callalantee goes for me. I'm in for camping too.

Not a bad idea, anyone know if it is state or national forest, or if there are any spark arrestor rules?

I'm not for sure what their personal rules are, but BCDS is a private place and Will said that last time he went one of the guys there riding with them was on a bike.

I'm not sure what BCDS's policy is on bikes. Their trails are intended for trucks and side by sides. The guy (Goza) who was riding his dirt bike last time was an employee. I would check with Will Leaman or James before you bring a bunch of bikes.
