I spent 8 hours last night putting yukon 4.56's, timken hub assemblies, new u-joints, new axle seals, and alloy usa axle seals in my 30. It turns out the thing most affecting my camber issues was the ball joints, and I just dont feel like ripping everything apart again to put them in.......so any reccomendations for a shop around here?

How in the world did you figure differential gears, ujoints, and axle seals could contribute to a camber problem? Time for a si.... . Nevermind.

Pride and Joy would be fine to handle balljoints. Also, McCoy Auto is a trusty little shop down in McCoy. Clay likes Long Shop down there. Steer clear of any of the bigger places like South Main because the over charge and will "find" other things on your junk that need fixing. Crooks.

nah everything needed to be replaced anyways, I thought it was all the hubs (because they were in horrible shape anyways) and that the ball joints were ok, but after saturday night the camber was still all over the place

i've had good experience with Tim McCoy at Pride and Joy. Long shop is good for inspections, tho. Tim doesn't have an inspection license last I talked to him.

Does pride and joy balance driveshafts? If not could someone reccomend a driveshaft shop? I haven't had a front shaft since may, I got one from the junkyard, put new ujoints and centering ball in it today and it vibrates like a mofo, deffinately needs to be balanced.

I don't know of any, but I had a driveshaft rebuilt by Axles, etc. in Christiansburg a few years ago. He no longer works on driveshafts, but instead has another shop do the work for him. You could try to call him and see if he will give up his driveshaft source. He is located under the Citgo across from the Napa in C-burg.

thanks man, still gotta balance the shaft, cut the fenders, put the tcase skid on, replace the front breather, get a 35" spare, and maybe replace the balljoints before uwharrie
