Hey guys, I am searching around for a Cobra 25 CB radio or something close to that. If anyone hears anything, let me know! Thanks!

I've got a Cobra 21WX with three weather stations. It doesn't have a mic but does have a mounting bracket. You can get a factory Cobra mic from a truck stop for a little bit of nothing, $10 or so. Worked good ~2 years ago when I bought it, have not had power on it since. I gave $40 for it and had it checked out at a local shop, so does $40 seem fair? I was going to put it in the K5, but I'm considering a more simple CB with a 2m/440cm HAM rig which usually have WX stations built in them.

I am interested, it has a PA output from what it looks like correct?
What would I do for an antenna and power hook ups? Just asking.

Yes, it does have a PA output on it. What do you mean by the 2nd part? It has a short pigtail for power hookup on the back, wire in a non-switched 12V source and ground lead and you've got power, same as 99.993% of all other CBs.
I've got a write-up in technical that gives advice (kinda) on antennas. Go check it out. There are many many antenna options, and it all comes down to what you are willing to do to your vehicle. I had the welders at work make me a custom S/S bracket that is bolted to my rear gate with a brace on the inside to prevent fatiguing the metal. Then a 102" whip sitting on a 6" extension w/o a spring. Works great, talked ~8-10 miles off my weak side while mobile. Dude I was talking to runs about (illegally I might add) 250W, so I had an advantage there, but I'm still pushing the legal/factory 4W.

I'm gonna have to get a new bracket and antenna. My bracket is shitty and is creating a grounding problem. and my antenna is shitty too.

I was not sure if it needed a wiring harness or anything like an actual car radio does, (lack of knowlesge on CB's here). But a +12v and ground is simple enough!
Will do on reading the write up.
I will have to think about it, if someone offers, I think Alec did you sell it to him.
Thank you Terry.

I'm not sure when I'll be back around b-burg. May be a week or three, I'll let you know. May be able to meet you if you're in a hurry for it or possibly ship it to you.

I was not in any rush, just seeing if there were any options out there!

For the moment, that CB has been put in my Jeep. My 18WXSTII died finally and I figured I'd run it a bit to make sure it's working correctly after sitting this long. If anyone is still interested in a CB, I have another one I would sell, but its got some mods and I've got some $ in it.
