Link to a cool article on lightly building a 5.3 that I have talked with some people about. I figure this applies mostly to me but enough to the club since we have atleast 2 other members currently working on putting in LS-based motors.

Cliff notes: Picking up over 120 hp from a cam and heads on a 5.3

Interesting read, how does a 5.3 compare to a 4.0 inline 6 weight wise Will?

5.3 is mad cheap, its all the other stuff that you do with it that gets expensive.

Yeah, I know my 4.0 liter is going to blow one day, Im hoping not anytime soon but when it does im either going to build a 4.6 stroker motor or maybe a v8, prob go with 4.6 stroker motor to keep in simple

"Built as a direct bolt in for any year Jeep"

I don't think you have to really figure anything.

Sounds like I just need to get the credit care out and bolt that Golen Right in.

As for Matt's TJ, him and I were talking and it seems like what is going on is the SKIM module being a dick. My jeep has that and can be a bitch.

Maybe swaping over every last sensor including the CPS and such will make the computer happy again. There is no way for it to know what kind of block there is when every single sensor is moved over. Right?
